FASHION spent the night with David Beckham and TUDOR

Wouldn’t we all love to spend an evening with David Beckham? Well, for a select few Torontonians, that dream became a reality.

On Wednesday, May 21, the global icon touched down at Toronto’s Illuminarium to spend a stylish night with TUDOR and 150 of their closest friends, media and watch fans. In true #BornToDare fashion, the event delivered immersive moments from timepiece try-on stations (featuring the new Black Bay 58 Burgundy) to a working watchmaker and a 180º photobooth.

Then, just as the evening was hitting its stride (right around the beef wellington), Beckham hit the stage. Chatting with Canadian media personality Caroline Cameron, he reflected on his TUDOR journey.

A brand ambassador since 2017, Beckham revealed he bought a watch with his very first Manchester United paycheque — but kept it hush-hush from his parents. “I told them that it was in the bank, but, yeah, they found out eventually, then it was fine,” he said with signature British charm.

Wearing the bold Black Bay 58 Burgundy (though he confessed a soft spot for the Pelagos Ultra), Beckham reflected on evolving from sarongs to sharp classics — but staying loyal to TUDOR throughout it all. “I’m very lucky in business to work with great people and great companies. And the right people at TUDOR just happened to be the biggest and the best.” A reason to celebrate, indeed..

Want to channel some of that David Beckham magic? Explore the TUDOR 2025 lineup — including the Black Bay 68, Pelagos Ultra and Black Bay Pro — below.

What do oysters, seahorses and jellyfish all have in common? Yes, they live in the ocean — but they’re also the muses of Kara Yoo’s latest jewellery line.

Consider the Ocean collection a love letter to the Pacific Northwest. Featuring eight distinct styles, the aquatic assortment includes everything from fishy earrings and oyster pendants to jellyfish motifs and pearl necklaces. What’s more, a portion of each sale is donated to Ocean Wise, a Vancouver-based conservation organization that specializes in protecting and restoring the sea. Making waves, indeed.
