As we finally begin to defrost from a truly treacherous winter, we’re looking to shake up our beauty routines with a little springtime sweetness—and what better way to do that than with cute new nails?
Spring is the perfect time to play around with your personal style, and amping up your regular manicure is one way to do so. This season’s nail trends lend themselves to a into a fun, carefree spirit via bold patterns and painted prints, from cat-eye-inspired to all-out embellishments. Plus, if the Spring 2025 runways are anything to go by, it looks like some well-missed palettes will be making a comeback (*cough* metallics *cough*).

Mega Metallics
When it comes to making a statement, there’s nothing quite like a bold set of nails. If you’re looking to sport some seriously eye-catching fingertips this season, give the metallic trend a spin. This edgy design, inspired by Private Policy’s Spring 2025 show, takes your average shimmery mani to the next level by leaning into an almost molten-like appearance. For a little extra oomph, consider adding some 3-D elements with gel to really turn up the coolness factor.
Blooming Florals
Okay, florals for spring may not be anything new, but this season’s blooming nail art trend has taken the classic look to new heights. Brought to life with blooming gel—a thin, transparent polish that allows the colour to disperse and seemingly “bloom” across the nail—this has quickly become one of the most popular manicures of the season. The best part? This trend is perfect for those who love playing around with colours, since virtually any hue can complement the delicate design. We suggest a striking deep pink or an array of seasonal pastels to really make your mani pop.
Cherry Bomb
This season’s super-sweet fruit obsession has officially made its mark on the nail world. While classic red nails remain timeless, sets with literal cherry prints are also dominating this season. To get the look, simply apply your favourite base coat and nude polish, then use a thick gel to create small, circular orbs that you can later apply dots of red to. Lastly, break out your favourite green shade to create a mini stem and you’re all set. Even if nail art isn’t your thing, you’ve got options: Go for nail stickers or simply pick your favourite red polish—whether it be a true crimson or a deeper, more red wine-adjacent shade.
Dazzling Cat Eye
Chrome nails may have had their moment, but there’s a new must-try look in town. Cat eye nails have been taking over the nail world since the beginning of this year, and the shimmery style doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Achieved by moving a magnet (yes, an actual magnet) over magnetic nail polish to create a light-catching line that mimics a cat’s eye, this look is surprisingly simple to create despite the breathtaking end result. You can even take the magnetic polish’s reflective properties a step further by moving the magnet around the nail until almost all of the sparkle is gone, leaving you with high-shine, mirror-like tips.
Bejewelled Beauties
We’ve mentioned just how big the fashion was on the Spring 2025 runways, right? Well, spring nails are no exception. The maximalist trend of stacking eye-catching 3-D decals and rhinestones across a nail may not be anything new, but it’s getting bolder and better in 2025. It’s also the perfect look for leaning into your creative side. Simply apply your choice of colour as a base, then get to work with your trusty nail glue, gems. and curing lamp. Consider creating patterns (we like the idea of arranging rhinestones in the shape of a flower for the springtime) or simply deck out your digits to your heart’s desire.
