Fashion collabs aren’t new. But there seems to be a growing trend that has us scratching our heads: snack food brands are jumping into the fashion game and releasing capsule collections to the hungry masses. First came Taco Bell’s TaCoat, created by Canadian designer Hayley Elsaesser. Then we heard about the Cheetos “Snack Line”. What’s next? A Doritos dress?
Actually, it’s KFC clothing. In a bizarre twist of fate, the fried-chicken powerhouse has released a limited edition collection that includes tees, jewelry, and accessories. What’s even more bizarre is that - dare I say - it’s kind of cute.
While some of the items might be a little too out there for most tastes (ie. a gold lettered necklace that reads “finger lickin’ good”) there are some definite winners in the collection. If you want to proudly share your love of fried chicken with the world, act fast. KFC Ltd. items are available online now and the pieces are selling quickly. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
We’ve rounded up our favourite picks from the collection in the gallery below.
