And the creative director merry-go-round continues! It’s the end of an era at Balenciaga, as creative director Demna has announced that he will be the new lead at Gucci starting in July.

During his ten-year tenure, Demna transformed the French maison with his penchant for provocative, daring designs and a modern-grunge attitude. What’s to come at Gucci? We can only predict innovative changes. As for Balenciaga, the potato chip handbag and other Demna creations will now become archival pieces. Get them while you still can!

Meet the new Omega Seamaster

Can you ever truly master the sea? That question is sure to keep both oceanographers and philosophers up for months. But at Omega, the answer is a resounding yes.

Introducing the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, a collection of two new timepieces that feature brushed black ceramic details and a beautiful dial that’s adorned with an atlas in the centre. In addition to the new hues (turquoise and grey), what makes these watches truly unique is that they can track multiple time zones underwater at a depth of 2,000 m. Just look to the outer edge of the face and you’ll find a list of cities around the world, with their time zones. A masterful detail if we ever saw one.

Loro Piana’s new sunglasses embrace savoir-faire fashion

These glasses don’t just have a certain visual je ne sais quoi, they also have savoir-faire. Loro Piana’s newest collection fuses the Italian house’s quiet luxury excellence with Japanese artisan craftsmanship to create innovative sunglasses.

Named after past Loro Piana garments, the Andre, Icer and Roadster styles feature refined frames, versatile and discrete enough to blend seamlessly into one’s personal style. But the true beauty lies in the functional details of these glasses — anti-reflecting lenses, water-repellent and perhaps best of all, they won’t grip to skin oils or makeup. Goodbye to glasses marks!

Some people nurse flowers, herbs or fruit — but Lambert is growing a garden of bags.

The Canadian vegan leather brand just launched their new Gardenia capsule, featuring top handles, belt bags, backpacks and wallets in pastel hues of honey, blueberry milk and sage. While every style is a natural beauty in its own right, we have a particular soft spot for the mid-size Vanessa that prioritizes functional everyday use with a detachable strap, adjustable to shoulder or crossbody length. No late bloomers here.

Swatch says florals for spring

Ever wish flowers lasted forever? Swatch may have found a way to make it happen.

The Swiss brand’s Blossom Time collection has arrived just in time for spring and these petals are sure to pass the test of time. Created with both durable leather and stainless steel bands, the watches are stylized with engraved sun-brushed dials and colourful faces that come in delightful shades of blue, pink, gold and silver. Inspired by magnolia, crocus, gerbera and camellia florals, these timepieces feel as lightweight as their muses and are also water resistant — in case you get caught in April showers.

Roots drops two new sporty collections

If you’re wondering what the style forecast of the season is, Roots is declaring it a sporty spring break.

Meet the brand’s Sporting Goods and Tempo collections, with pieces fit for both the collegiate prep or the basketball team’s MVP. The first offers colourful comforts stamped with Roots’ statement retro logo from 1999 — think preppy matching sets, rugby polos and accessories. Then in collaboration with Canada’s first WNBA team, Roots new Tempo offering is an ode to their partnership with the Toronto Tempo. Whether you cheer on the bleachers or play on the court, these two new collections will take you right back to your university homecoming.
