Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, is never one to give into convention. It’s why the brand collaborated with The Simpsons back in 2021. It’s why it staged a runway show in a mud pit in 2022. And it’s why the Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2025 collection was shot on an iPhone. That being said, Demna still has a few surprises up his sleeve. Namely “The Zero” shoes, which have the Internet abuzz with chatter.
The sandals — if you can even call them that — feature a shallow moulded EVA sole that cups the heel and a strap-like structure that only covers the big toe, leaving the four other digits very free and very visible. While social media was quick to launch into a debate about the footwear (can you even consider it a shoe?), the rest of the Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2025 collection plays with the House’s signature design codes such as reinterpreted T-shirts, cocoon maxi dresses, statement jackets and more. Also included? A collab with Lamborghini.
To predict the future, you usually have to employ the services of a psychic — but not when Pinterest is involved.
This week, the visual discovery engine released its annual Pinterest Predicts report, outlining all the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle trends that will dominate the zeitgeist in the next year. As expected, 2025’s offering didn’t disappoint. Top styles to look out for include Aura Beauty, Rococo Revival, Castlecore, Fisherman Aesthetic, Chaos Cakes, and so much more. No crystal ball required.
A Skims and The North Face collab wasn’t on our 2024 bingo card, but this iconic duo makes so much sense that we’re surprised we didn’t think of it first. This limited-edition line (which is dropping on December 10!) features Skims’ signature monochromatic palette and flattering fit across a variety of The North Face winter wear apparel and accessories. Think bodysuits, hats, mitts and, of course, puffers.
“The collection is a combination of functional and flattering apparel solutions for the season.” said Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Skims. “I’ve spent a lot of time on the slopes, so I was definitely inspired when we were developing this collection and I can’t wait to wear these pieces on my next trip.” Us too!
Formula One Red Bull fans already have a reason to rejoice with the crowning of Max Verstappen as the 2024 season champion but adding to that celebration is TAG Heuer with the release of its Formula 1 Chronograph x Oracle Red Bull Racing limited edition watch.
Although the two brands have released seven timepieces since the beginning of their partnership in 2016, what makes this particular piece special is it pays tribute to the 20-year anniversary of the F1 team. Inspired by the iconic Oracle Red Bull Racing colours, the watch features a high-contrast mix of dark blue, yellow, and red, with a rubber strap designed for ultimate comfort and performance. Win, win!
We’ve got big news for all the beauty lovers out there — Merit is crossing into the jewellery world thanks to a new capsule collection with Completedworks.
Created in partnership with the London-based ceramics brand, the line consists of two pairs of earrings, each blending artisanal sculpture with the timeless allure of shimmering pearls. Crafted with recycled materials, the pieces are heavily inspired by the organic shape and structure of Merit’s Retrospect fragrance bottle, which lends itself to the uniquely elevated elegance of the accessories.
Has minimalist brand COS gone maximalist? It would appear so — that is, only temporarily.
For a new collaboration with world-renowned photographer Chris Perani, the Scandi label has embraced the beauty of bold patterns. Within the 24-pieces expect to see button-downs, sweater vests, collared dresses and a whole lot of denim all decked out in abstract prints inspired by nature. Our favourite has to be Bay Jacquard Barrel-Leg Jeans, but really, you can’t go wrong with any of the options, maximalist or not.
This one is for all you ‘80s fans — get those scrunchies out because Mejuri’s latest statement jewellery collection is here to make your most nostalgic dreams come true. The Canadian jeweller’s new Puffy Heart collection transforms the classic heart into a textured, oversized design that’s reminiscent of everyone’s favourite dramatic old-school accessories.
Available in both sterling silver and gold vermeil, the bold design adorns a variety of earrings, necklaces and charms all in Mejuri’s signature everyday-wear style. With so many wonderful new jewellery options, these pieces will surely steal your heart (we’re sorry, we had to).
