One Of A Kind announced an extended online show
Toronto’s beloved biannual One Of A Kind Show is taking its Winter event online this year with an extended two-month show. Celebrating Canada’s independent craft makers, the event is scheduled to run from October 22 to December 20 instead of the usual 11 days. “Our mission is to save our small business partners,” said Janice Leung, Show Director, in a release. “Understanding our artisans have seen a decline in sales due to COVID-19 and rely on face-to-face shows as their main source of income, we have created a platform to bring the show to life online; a space where artisans and consumers can foster connections essential to small business success.” In addition, One Of A Kind is giving away five scholarships to small business owners to support them in their time of need, in partnership with Duuo Insurance. Over 700 makers from across Canada will participate in the virtual Winter show, which will also offer online gift guides, DIY workshops, virtual studio tours and customized product recommendations.

And ICYMI, there are some great virtual events taking place Canada-wide this month and next, such as The 519’s first-ever virtual gala. Read about them here.
