Jenna Lyons announced a television show
Style icon and former president of J.Crew Jenna Lyons is branching out on her own with a television show that’s part reality show and part-competition series. The eight-episode show follows her as she tackles design projects ranging from hosting mobile fashion makeovers to designing her new office to launching a new brand. At the same time, Lyons will be putting a diverse group of people to the test as they compete for a position on her new business venture’s creative team. Titled Stylish With Jenna Lyons, the series is set to premiere on HBO Max on November 26. Watch the trailer below.

Sophia Amoruso launched a digital entrepreneurship program
Sophia Amoruso, New York Times bestselling author and founder of Nasty Gal, is launching Business Class, a digital entrepreneurship course that covers the fundamentals of starting or scaling a business. The course offers eight weeks of guided study, featuring class modules focused on everything from staff development practices to creating a brand identity, customer loyalty, financial management and more. The course costs USD 2000 and will be offering at least 100 scholarships for applicants from the underrepresented BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Enrolment is open until October 9.

Gucci opened applications for the second round of its Changemaker Initiative
Gucci is now accepting applications for its North America Changemakers Initiative, which aims to build strong connections and opportunities within diverse communities. Launched in 2019, the initiative’s Impact Fund supports grassroots organizations through grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 and empowers diverse young people through education. Earlier this year, Gucci announced the 20 recipients of its Scholarship program, which supports undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds who are pursuing careers in fashion or other creative fields. In addition, the 2020 Gucci Changemakers X CFDA Scholars by Design program will fund one scholarship award to a young woman of colour for up to $20,000. Read more about the Impact Fund here.

Peloton launched barre workouts
Adding to their library of running, biking, strength, cardio and yoga workouts, Peloton has now introduced barre. Led by instructors Ally Love and Hannah Corbin, the barre workouts are available to view on demand as a 10-class collection ranging from 5 to 30 minutes. Their most requested class type ever, Barre uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet, Pilates and yoga to deliver a low-impact strength workout. Find it on the Peloton app, TV, Bike or Tread.
