Toronto Fashion Week: Let the Shows Begin

If TIFF isn’t enough glamour for one week, look no further than Toronto Fashion Week which returns to the city as a three-day festival of fashion, art and culture, centered around Yorkville Village, at the intersections of Hazelton Avenue and Yorkville Ave Tuesday September 5 through 7. From guest speakers Jean Paul Gaultier on the 5th to a screening of Franca: Chaos and Creation, a documentary about the late Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani, TFW aims to educate fashion followers while enticing them to buy local!

Naturally runway presentations are part of TFW, with designers like Narces, Pink Tartan and Bustle on the TFW roster. Happening in tandem after a successful run earlier this year is Reset which takes place at The Great Hall on Queen Street West. Reset will also have a stellar roster of Canadian talent that includes Triarchy, Sid Neigum and Jennifer Tarosian to name a few.

We’re looking forward to this deep dive into the Canadian fashion design scene.

FASHION spoke with four designers appearing at TFW.
