Hopefully having a couple of weeks to relax and refresh after the end of Paris Fashion Week did you well, because Fashion Week Spring 2013 continues on. This time the shows are just mere steps from our front doors as Toronto Fashion Week gets underway.

Officially World MasterCard Fashion Week doesn’t start until next week, but that doesn’t mean Fashion Week is already in full swing. Our resident street style photographer Stefania Yarhi was out yesterday snapping all the fashionable Torontonians as they rushed from The Collections to The ShOws. And rush they did! Going from Chloe Comme Parris and Label at the Burroughs Building to Tanya Taylor and Jean-Pierre Braganza at Andrew Richards Design in a small amount of time is no easy feat, but the fashion crowd did their best to not miss these presentations.

Despite being up against cool fall temperatures, Yarhi’s lens caught many fashionable ladies and gents embracing the trends for Fall 2012. Taking a cue from Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2012 collection, brocade was on the mind of many, appearing on a pair of black open-toed boots and on a very chic military-inspired jacket. Many people Yarhi snapped perhaps sought advice from our latest Style Panel by adding on layers of sweaters, jackets and scarves. One attendee worked the trend quite well by pairing her button up shirt under a classic houndstooth blazer. Two Fall 2012 trends in one!

Sadly, we have yet to see any appearances of Balenciaga’s sci-fi sweater that seemed to dominate Fashion Weeks last month (maybe everyone’s making their own?) but there’s still plenty of time over the next couple of weeks for it to make an appearance! Stay tuned for our continued street style coverage.
