10 of the Most Insanely Oversized Accessories From Moschino’s Pre-Fall ‘20 Show

You’ll never have to worry about not having enough room for all of your things again.

Chances are when scrolling through your Instagram feed at one time or another you’ve spied an hilariously oversized bag, jacket or shoe – the telltale handiwork of Instagram meme legend @itsmaysmemes. And now, Moschino has taken that idea one step further by actually creating the oversized garments IRL.

Last night, Jeremy Scott presented his Pre-Fall ‘20 collection in New York City at the Transit Museum. Given the setting, models walked the subway, instead of the runway, set to a soundtrack that was routinely interrupted by the phrase “stand clear of the closing doors” to bring a true authenticity to proceedings. And although the subway is usually associated with tight, cramped spaces and everyone trying to make themselves as small as possible for their commute, Scott instead took everything in the opposite direction. Hats, bags, puffers and backpacks were all skilfully supersized, so too were chains and sleeves. However unlike Off-White’s most recent handbag or Lizzo’s American Music Awards accessory, Scott’s totes, whilst ginormous, still appear to be totally functional.
