There are few things more luxurious than a high-quality timepiece, and Louis Vuitton’s latest Escale watch proves just that.

Inspired by the Maison’s iconic trunks, the new dial is crafted with time-honoured traditions of guilloché engraving and grand feu enamel techniques. Both practices are centuries old, and result in one-of-a-kind designs that include intricate, repetitive patterns and a lustrous, smooth sheen.

Between its luxe sapphire display, platinum case, 18-karat white gold hands and calfskin leather strap, it’s no surprise that this release is extremely limited. So much so that only 50 of these timepieces have been created — which is indicated by a discreet rose gold plaque on each watch, forever reminding the wearer of its exclusivity.

Loro Piana’s latest luxury candle drop has seriously achieved new levels of fragrance innovation.

Inspired by the brand’s rare fabrics, such as Vicuña, Cashfur, and precious wool, each scent emanates notes reflective of the material they’re based on, hence the names “Mystic Fleece,” “Cashfur Cloud,” and “Smoky Tweed.” To top it off, the packaging is created entirely from natural ingredients and is sculpted to resemble a wooden bale — a homage to Loro Piana’s rich textile history. All three scents are available at select Loro Piana stores worldwide.

After an exciting launch earlier this season, the highly-anticipated second drop of creative director Haider Ackermann’s first Canada Goose collection has arrived.

Featuring 14 brand-new pieces, part two of the capsule builds on the French designer’s artistic vision for the brand by honouring Canada Goose’s heritage while incorporating modern and bold design elements. With a selection of new jackets, puffers and cold-weather accessories such as socks and tights, the drop has everything you need to take on the great outdoors this winter.

Harbison Studios enters Toronto’s The Room at The Bay

Charles Harbison, meet Hudson’s Bay. Hudson’s Bay, meet Charles Harbison. The American talent is the latest designer to be added to The Room, the Canadian department store’s luxury shopping hub. To celebrate, the man himself made an appearance at the Toronto Queen Street location as he introduced Harbison Studio’s upcoming Spring and Resort collections, which featured playful silhouettes, bold prints and lots of poppy and cream —the brand’s signature colours.

Although this was Harbison’s debut at The Room, the designer is no stranger to the fashion world. His extensive resume involves a sustainability partnership with Banana Republic, design director credits at a variety of contemporary brands and experience dressing some of the world’s biggest celebs — including Jodie Turner-Smith, Michelle Pfeiffer and Beyoncé.

“I think what is key and interesting about his collection is that, in a very short time, he has created distinct codes attached to his collection which is unusual in an emerging brand,” said Nicholas Mellamphy, Creative Director at Large of The Room.

Studio Halia and Hugo Kreit present a high-tech campaign

Wearable tech is already having a major moment — and Studio Halia’s latest collaboration with Parisian jewellery label Hugo Kreit is adding more fuel to the fire.

Aptly titled ALTER, the innovative three-piece line pays tribute to the early days of portable tech (TBT to the Bluetooth earpieces of the 2000s) with uniquely shaped neck cuffs, ear cuffs and headbands in a variety of retro-futuristic colourways.

The best part? Each accessory is embedded with an NFC chip which links to a customizable augmented reality beauty experience created in collaboration with makeup artist Ana Takahashi. It just doesn’t get any cooler than that.

Camperlab partners with design studio Concept(K)

Sneakerheads, listen up — Camperlab has reimagined its classic Tossu sneaker with design studio Concept(K) and it’s truly blown our socks off (pun intended).

The new Tossu is created with advanced production techniques, including a 3D bonding process that combines a moulded rubber outsole with a 3D-knitted sock made from recycled polyester. The innovative shoe not only unites the retailer and design studio’s creative philosophies but is also inspired by raw materials and textures — as seen through its muted Earth-toned shades of grey and beige.

Talk about futuristic footwear.
