Minimalists, look away! For H&M’s latest designer collaboration, they have teamed up with Indian designer Anamika Khanna on a new collection that screams “maximalists only.” “I’ve always felt Indian fashion gets lost when interpreted by the rest of the world,” the designer shares in a H&M x Anamika Khanna press release. “Often, our fashion — in terms of the culture, the heritage of craft and textile embroideries — is regarded as costume or not wearable or modern enough. Things have changed a lot, and this collection with H&M allows me to take something Indian and make it global and contemporary.”

As promised, the comprehensive fall offering displays Khanna’s unmistakable eclecticism and flair by presenting silhouettes inspired by the sartorial codes of India. From hand-embroidered draped skirts and airy kaftans to carefree sportswear shapes with painterly motifs, the H&M Anamika Khanna capsule truly has something for everyone.

Sometimes a milestone anniversary deserves an extra special celebration.

To honour the 50th anniversary of Elsa Peretti’s arrival at Tiffany and Co., the luxury jeweller is adding Peretti’s iconic Bone cuff to its “With love, Since 1837” campaign. The bracelet, which was first released in 1970, is perhaps Peretti’s most famous design and it remain a modern representation of revolutionary femininity with its effortlessly sculpted appearance.

To keep the celebrations going, Tiffany and Co. will unveil more of Peretti’s special creations throughout 2024 and 2025, including the previously launched Elsa Peretti bone and split rings as well as many other classic designs.

Ready to go blue this fall? Van Cleef & Arpels sure is.

This week the luxury jewellery gave their iconic Alhambra collection — aka the famous clover motif — a sweet upgrade with the addition of blue agate. What makes this stone so special? This microcrystalline quartz is best known for its intense colour, lustrous surface and natural uniqueness, as no two are alike. When paired with the Van Cleef & Arpels’ signature yellow gold, it’s a truly winning combination, as seen on the new watches, rings, earrings and more. A not-so hidden treasure, indeed.

Calling all tall girlies! Basketball player Kayla Alexander (who just competed for Team Canada in the 2024 Paris Olympics) and her Tall Size co-founder Nicole Murphy are bringing their online fashion marketplace offline, and taking over Makespace Toronto on September 14. The pop-up will feature shoes in sizes 10-14 and clothing with inseams as long as 41 inches from over 15 retailers which, as many tall women know, is a very rare opportunity.

“Our vision at Tall Size is to be your go to destination for all your wardrobe needs,” Alexander and Murphy share in a press release. “We want to bring the simplicity and excitement back to shopping. Shopping as a tall woman shouldn’t feel like mission impossible.” Agreed.

If you can’t resist a luxury handbag with a bit of a twist, this one’s for you.

First showcased as part of the house’s Fall 2024 menswear collection, Fendi’s Siesta bag has officially arrived in-store in no less than three distinct sizes. Following the spirit of its name (a “siesta” refers to an afternoon nap in Spanish), the bag’s duffle silhouette converts to a flat, pillow-like shape through its cornered ring closures. Available in earthy hues of coal, forest green and warm beige as well as tobacco jacquard featuring the brand’s iconic FF pattern, the Siesta bag is the perfect addition to your busy lifestyle — whether you’re on your way to the office or need a pillow for your own little afternoon siesta.

Burberry launches ‘Made in the UK’

In case you were ever in any doubt that Burberry is proudly British, see its new series, aptly titled ‘Made in the UK.’

The images highlight Burberry’s commitment to supporting British manufacturing (they’ve operated from the same site in West Yorkshire for over 50 years!) and feature the house’s Heritage collection, which includes four signature fits – the Chelsea, Kensington, and Waterloo trench coat plus the Camden car coat. While the designs may seem effortless, each garment requires a high level of excellence from its craftspeople; the intricate stitching on the collar can take up to a year to master.

What’s more, the Heritage collection is also part of Burberry’s ‘Trench for Tomorrow’ initiative, which ensures that its pieces are made with lower-impact materials that can be worn for as long as possible. Fashion that honours history while protecting the future, what’s not to love?
