Greenwood Stakes 2018: The Best Looks at the Races

Toronto’s Woodbine Racetrack was a sea of pastels, bowties and spectacular feats of millinery this past Saturday, May 26, as event-goers congregated for the inaugural Greenwood Stakes festival.

Billed as the “sister event” to Vancouver’s annual Deighton Cup, the afternoon included 10 high-stakes thoroughbred horse races, live music by Birds of Bellwoods, and of course, extravagant ensembles.

While most guests opted for the traditional Derby-fare (fascinators, loafers, Kate Middleton-worthy frocks), we spotted a number fire looks and pieces worthy of a double-take: fanny packs, dad sneakers and even Italian-man-esque suits. Check out the gallery for our favourite looks at Greenwood Stakes 2018.
