Ever wished you could have access to a celebrity stylist, whether for an event or for an entire closet overhaul? Well, thanks to Vancouver-born stylist Karla Welch, you’re in luck.

Welch, who is now based in LA, has an extensive roster of famous clients – think Tracee Ellis Ross, Sarah Paulson, Karlie Kloss, Busy Phillips and Ruth Negga to name just a few. However she knows that those of us without Hollywood levels of fame would love to get advice from someone in her position, which is why she created WISHI, a new digital styling app that pairs ordinary people with some of the world’s top stylists.

“I never want you to open your closet and think ‘I don’t know what to wear. I wish I had a stylist. I wish I knew what to buy...Well, wish no more. I’m your stylist,” she says in a video introducing her newest venture. But what exactly is WISHI? Well, according to the official website, the app has been designed to “show you how to build a wardrobe from scratch, shop smarter and how to bring life to what’s already in your closet.”

After completing the Style Match quiz, you’ll be paired with one of the talented stylists working with the app who will then create a personalized edit of clothing specific to your style and budget. There are two options: WISHI Mini, which is designed for people who want advice for a specific event, like a wedding or a holiday for example, and costs around CAD$55 a month. It includes a custom mood board with looks picked for you, as well as two style boards with a full outfit and shopping links, and two revisions per style board. WISHI Major is for those looking for an entirely new wardrobe. It costs around CAD$120 per month and includes five style boards and five revisions. Both include one-on-one chats with your stylist, whilst WISHI Major also gives you a phone call/FaceTime session with the stylist and unlimited style advice for a month. There’s also the option of uploading images of items you already have in your closet to ask the stylist how to wear them/incorporate them into your new look.

The stylists pull looks from different brands around the globe, all within your designated budget, and there’s no pressure to buy anything they suggest. At the very least you’ll get some fresh inspiration for your wardrobe, and at best you’ll be living your most stylish life yet. Either way, you’ll never have “nothing to wear” ever again.
