Tonight, the 2020 Emmys took place and they were unlike anything we’ve ever seen before – quite literally. The first major film and television awards show to take place since to COVID-19 pandemic began, the Emmys were in unchartered waters for tonight’s festivities. Given social distancing requirements, there was no Emmys red carpet for 2020 – but that doesn’t mean the night was without style. Several stars dressed up for small parties – in Toronto, a handful of members from the Schitt’s Creek cast gathered under Ontario’s COVID-19 guidelines, while Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington held a small gathering in Witherspoon’s backyard which also doubled as a New Year’s Eve party because, in Reese’s words,“We’re ready for this year to be over.” Below, see how the stars tackled “red carpet” style for the 2020 Emmys:

Dan Levy in Thom Browne

Annie Murphy in Valentino

Catherine O’Hara in Valentino

Eugene Levy in Dior

Tracee Ellis Ross in Alexandre Vauthier

Zendaya in Christopher John Rogers
