Virgil Abloh announced a Paris exhibition
Off-White designer and Louis Vuitton menswear artistic director Virgil Abloh has a lot on his plate but that isn’t holding him back from making another foray into the art space. (Figures of Speech, a retrospective of the designer’s work, was presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago this past summer and the designer is currently in the midst of setting up an installation in the Miami Design District.) This week, he announced another project: in an Instagram post, he revealed that he will be presenting an exhibit titled “Efflorescence” at Galerie Kreo, a contemporary store in Paris, next year. According to British Vogue, the entire show revolves around a single element: concrete. “Namely, how humans and the environment can change the rigid blocks that form the foundation of cities, such as graffiti adding decorative flair, or foliage filling the cracks.” Abloh is slated to appear at the show’s reception on Rue Dauphine on 14 January 2020.
Schitt’s Creek released its Season 6 teaser
Beloved TV show Schitt’s Creek released a trailer for its sixth and final season this week, showing the cast dressed to the nines in tuxedos and gowns—outtakes from David and Patrick’s wedding perhaps? Understandably, the minute-long teaser unleashed a flood of bittersweet responses on social media with people alternating between rejoicing over the imminent return of the show, and lamenting its inevitable end. We’re not the only ones feeling all the feels, however. In an interview with GQ about shooting the final season, Dan Levy said, “It was really, really hard. The last day of shooting was the most emotional day I think I’ve ever had in my life. I cried for, I want to say, five straight hours, to the point where I had a splitting headache and didn’t know what to do with my life. I wept when I took David’s shoes off. I will never wear those shoes again—nor do I want to—but I was very sad to take them off.”

A new meme took over Twitter
Every once in a while, a meme gains so much traction that it snowballs into a viral social media moment. That’s precisely what happened this week with the ‘Gonna Tell My Kids’ meme, which saw Twitter users “rewriting” history by replacing famous figures with images of totally random, unrelated people. As TIME notes, “this meme expertly encapsulates a world where some fear the future generations won’t inevitably know life as their parents did.” Some of the famous faces that have made an appearance in this meme marathon so far include the Olsen twins, Destiny’s Child, and the cast of Grey’s Anatomy.

Prince Andrew gave an ill-advised interview about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein
Earlier this week, Prince Andrew—Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip’s second son—spoke to the BBC about his long friendship with alleged pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. According to CNN, the interview was “disastrous,” and was very poorly received by the British public. “Prince Andrew’s lack of regret over associating with a convicted sex offender was one thing, but it was his apparent lack of empathy for the victims that has drawn the most criticism,” reports CNN. It led to Prince Andrew announcing that he would be retreating from public duties. “It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that I am proud to support,” he said in a statement. “Therefore, I have asked Her Majesty if I may step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission.” New reports claim that the Prince has since been ordered to move his private office out of Buckingham Palace.
