Congratulations, Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney!

It’s official: Jennifer Lawrence is engaged. The rumour mill began churning earlier this week when the Oscar winner was spotted out at dinner with Cooke Maroney, whom she has been dating since summer 2018, sporting what a source describes to Page Six as “a massive ring.”

“It was a giant rock,” says the source, who spotted the couple dining at New York restaurant Raoul’s. “They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it. The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots.”

While Lawrence’s previous boyfriends Nicholas Hoult and Darren Aronofosky are no strangers to the public eye themselves, Maroney has so far remained out of the spotlight. Not much is known about the New York-based 34-year-old whose only connection to Hollywood is, well, JLaw, but here are a few things we do know: he’s Director of the Gladstone 64 art gallery in New York, he grew up on a farm in Vermont and later studied art history at NYU, and he was introduced to Lawrence by her best friend Laura Simpson.

Lawrence’s rep has since confirmed the engagement, according to Just Jared.
