The New Minimal Nail Art Trend You’ll Be Seeing Everywhere in 2018

Unless this is your first time here, you probably know that we love minimal nail art here at FASHION. Anything that’s both easy and chic is an instant win in our books, tbh. So you can imagine our excitement when we started seeing the latest nail trend, outline nails, creeping up on our Instagram feeds.

The look, which features clear or nude nail polish that’s outlined with a thin, barely there line of polish in a neutral shade, requires a steady hand and even a drawing tool (nail polish brushes would be too thick), but the end result is worth it.

Outline nails have been embraced by nail pros like Sally Hansen’s Colour Ambassador Madeline Poole and founder of Unistella, Park Eunkyung. So you know it’s sticking around. In fact, we reached out to Madeline Poole, who told us, “Trends are very cyclical. When I started doing nails, this was one of the first styles I experimented with.” As for why we’re seeing it again, she says, “It could be an extension of the PVC trend, or contrast stitching.” Whatever it is, sign us up.

Take a look at some outline nail inspo below and get ready to see this minimal nail art trend everywhere in 2018.
