This makeup transformation will blow your mind

In breaking beauty news this morning, the Internet is going bananas over a makeup transformation video making the rounds on Facebook. To bring you up to speed, the clip shows a woman with one half of her her face done up (highlighter, winged liner, lashes, the works) only to then reveal the other half in all of its natural #iwokeuplikethis glory. While this before-and-after is downright mind-blowing, makeup transformation videos aren’t a new phenomenon—remember the  woman who removed her makeup on camera, only to reveal a completely new face?

Thanks to the power of social media, and a certain family (ahem, Kardashian-Jenners) we’re noticing beauty ideals becoming more extreme than ever, with makeup junkies and diehards taking their routines to the next-level (read: the highlighter challenge).  So, does this video surprise us? Nope. But it’s still pretty mesmerizing to watch. On repeat. Oh, the power of the makeup.
