As if M.A.C’s upcoming collabos with Lorde and Marge Simpson weren’t exciting enough, the cosmetics powerhouse has now paired up with the English mother-daughter duo, Kelly and Sharon Osbourne.
Famous for the dysfunctional, but close-knit vibes they portrayed on their Emmy-winning family reality show The Osbournes, these two hit international success alongside the heavy metal, profanity-shouting Ozzy and Kelly’s brother Jack. Not to mention Kelly’s more recent success as a panelist and presenter on E!’s Fashion Police. With Kelly’s Lavender hair and Sharon’s fire-red shortcut being the shining-stars of inspiration, this collabo has resulted in one rad makeup line.
For a double-dose of delight, M.A.C has divided the collection into two, allowing Kelly and Sharon to each unveil their own selection of beauty products. With their personalities clearly coming through the collections (including a British-inspired eye shadow quad named “Bloody Brilliant”), Kelly’s features dramatic shades for the eyes, pastel tones, and creamy lip hues, including the re-naming of her favourite bubblegum-pink M.A.C lipstick from “Candy Yum-Yum” to “Kelly Yum-Yum.” Sharon’s, on the other hand, is packaged in red lacquered detail, and includes smoky, warm and neutral tones.
Available online June 2, and in North-American stores June 12, it might even have us dying our hair a cool shade of purple. Maybe.
