Kim Kardashian West and Pat McGrath’s Secret Shoot Has Finally Been Revealed

It’s finally here!
Back in February, Kim Kardashian teased a “secret late night project” with the one and only Pat McGrath. Then, roughly a month later, the makeup artist unveiled the latest launch from her makeup line: Dark Labs 006, her ultimate smoky eye kit. At that point, it became pretty clear the secret collab would involve this new kit, and it was later confirmed via Pat and Kim’s respective Instagram accounts that the reality TV star was, indeed, promoting the launch of Dark Labs 006.
The first teaser vid (posted a week ago on McGrath’s account) plays the voice of Maleficent from Disney’s Snow White saying her famous line, “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?” while scrolling text fills the screen. It ends with an ominous “Someone is coming.”
The updated clip confirms that Kardashian is the chosen one (or, “fairest one of all”), serving as the McGrath’s latest muse:
“In the Mirror” is a mesmerizing vid of Mrs. Kardashian West, sporting her long Cher-esque locks (which she no longer has, BTW), applying the sparkly shadow to her lids and touching up her makeup while hubby Kanye West’s track “Street Lights” plays in the background.
According to E! News, Kim was an “obvious” choice for the “In the Mirror” series (yes, there will be more to come!).
“Our first collaboration with Kim was at the start of Pat McGrath Labs in fall 2015 with Gold 001. There’s literally only one woman in the world who is as big a beauty junkie as I am—and that’s her!” McGrath said. “We talk for hours about our favourite products and newest tips and tricks. So, what could be better than working with a great friend who also happens to be drop-dead gorgeous and a beauty icon?”
As for Kardashian West, she said the shoot was a “fun treat to get all glammed up and play with makeup.”
“I’ve never actually done an eye like this,” she revealed. “It’s glossy and sparkly and dramatic! I really loved it.”
