Clear your schedule for the weekend, because Dior just dropped a dreamy new documentary. Inside the Dream is a must-see fragrance film directed by Matthieu Menu that unravels the mystery behind Dior’s iconic J’adore perfume.
Through Menu’s lens, we follow the French fashion house’s newly appointed director of Dior perfume creation, Francis Kurkdjian, behind the scenes at the House of Dior, where the creative process of reinventing this famous fragrance is revealed.
“If we take a closer look at the details of this narrative, we understand that it evokes a lyrical dimension that celebrates the olfactory beauty of J’adore, while also revealing the ‘true’ and realistic story of its creation,” shares Menu in a press statement. “It is a pas-de-deux between the universe of perfume and an authentic discovery of the production process.”
For your viewing pleasure, Inside the Dream is now available to stream in Canada on Prime Video.
Kayali’s Eden fragrance family is expanding, and the newest edition to the clan is called Eden Sparkling Lychee. With notes of fruity-floral blackcurrant, sparkling lychee, rose damascene and candied violet, this radiant fragrance leaves behind an irresistibly sweet-smelling trail.
Its bottle puts a coral-coloured spin on the brand’s signature diamond-shaped packaging, which is inspired by traditional Middle Eastern Oud bottles and looks super luxe. Available in four sizes from a convenient 10ml travel spray to a 100ml jumbo-sized option, there’s a bottle of Eden Sparkling Lychee for every life situation.
Glossier first featured its Sandstone scent as a deodorant earlier this year, but now the Big Sur-inspired smell has been funnelled into a cozy candle. Inspired by the fresh scents of the California coast, this eight-ounce candle is brimming with notes of sandalwood, clary sage, and fig leaf.
Housed in a sage green jar made of glass, this candle’s vessel is made to be kept and repurposed for either storage (think makeup brushes or pens) or pure decoration long after the wax has melted away.
