Our Beauty Panel members reveal their desert island beauty essentials
So, you’re stranded on a desert island. The sun is hot, the food supply is scarce and the bugs are swarming – what three essential items would you want to have with you? The smartest answer would consist of something like sunscreen, water and pre-made food (and maybe some bug spray, too).
Now let’s pretend you’re going to a desert island for a couple of days with a few of your closest friends, a heap of beverages, delicious meals and a shady spot to lounge. What beauty supplies would you need to keep the hot sun and salty ocean swims from ruining your perfectly made-up face and moisturized skin?
We asked our Beauty Panel which three products they would bring with them to a desert island. Read on to find out!

“Now this was a difficult challenge; what three beauty products would I bring with me to a desert island? Sun protection is always the most important factor of all, but I will assume I snuck some sunscreen with me and/or have a very large hat, a nice shady spot to lounge, and a lot of available coconut (which has a natural SPF of 10).
The first product I chose was Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. It is smudge-free and waterproof, so it will last during hot days and ocean swims. Having light blonde eyebrows can make me feel quite bare, so having a nice fill in them to frame the eyes goes a long way with my makeup routine!
My second product is one of my absolute favourites. I have at least one if not two in my purse with me at all times. Revlon’s Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm. Absolutely amazing. The colours are fantastic, and I often double the duty and use it as a cheek stain as well. It is two sided, one being the stain, and on the other is a beautiful balm that I used on both my lips and as a highlighter on my cheeks.
For my third product I have selected something I’ve only recently come across (and am fully in love with). All of that summer barefoot living sometimes leaves your feet less than soft and pretty. This cream works miracles. Really. I don’t know if my feet have ever been this soft in my life. O’Keefe’s is odourless, non-greasy and hydrates the skin by adjusting the pH balance and retaining moisture. An absolute must in my books.
Products used: Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in Blonde, Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm in Crave, O’Keefe’s Healthy Feet Cream.

I chose these products because they are quick go-to products with fairly neutral colours. You must keep your lips moisturized, so I use Bluffajo Kiss Kiss Lip Gloss, followed by a little brown eyeliner and light brown mascara to help lift the eyes. These are my personal must haves.
