Every year when Oscars night rolls around, all eyes are on the red carpet for the next big fashion moment. And while there’s certainly plenty to take in on the sartorial front, the hair and makeup are just as exciting.
Here, we’ve rounded up the best beauty moments from the 2026 Oscars red carpet.

Anne Hathaway always brings a regal energy to the red carpet, and she proved this yet again at the 2026 Oscars. The Devil Wears Prada wore a floor-length Valentino gown, but what really caught our eye was her perfectly-executed soft-glam makeup: a soft, brown smokey eye and blush on the apples of the cheeks. Meanwhile her hair—styled in a half up-do—perfectly showcased her diamond jewellery.

Celebrity hairstylist Rena Calhoun worked with Mikey Madison to give her Oscars-worthy movie-star waves. The secret? A trio of products from Sisley’s Hair Rituel line: a smoothing, heat-protecting cream, a volume-boosting spray for bounce and hairspray to lock in the ‘do. The result? Soft, wavy locks that moved with the Anora actress as she glided down the red carpet.

Looking for a sign to go for the chop? Look no further than Gracie Abrams. In January, the musician traded her signature bob for a shorter, edgier look, and the salon chair has been beckoning at us since. Abrams paired her side-parted locks with barely-there makeup: matte skin, filled-in brows and a soft dusting of blush.

Audrey Nuna knows a thing or two about making a statement. Since the beginning of the Kpop Demon Hunters press tour, the musician has been delivering not only dramatic ensembles, but stunning hair and makeup looks to match. At the 2026 Oscars, however, the true star of her look was her manicure. Her nails—executed to perfection by Marielle Co of Girlfriend Bar—were coated in gold chrome and finished with 3D gold appliqué reminiscent of the Oscars statuette,

Minimalism has been the name of Emma Stone’s style game lately. And while she carries that subtlety in her approach to beauty, she occasionally dabbles in a fun pop of colour or shimmer. Case in point: Stone complemented her beaded Louis Vuitton gown with a wash of silver shimmer on the eyelids. To bring warmth back into the look, she wore peachy-pink blush—an Emma Stone signature—with a pink satin-finish lip.

Does it count as a statement lip when your whole outfit is a statement? That’s up for debate. But one thing we’re certain of is that we’ll be thinking about Best Actress nominee Renate Reinsve’s red lipstick for a hot minute. As for her luminous glow? That came from a strong skincare base. Specifically, celebrity makeup artist Emily Cheng used Allies of Skin serums and SPF to prep for Reinsve’s glowy glam. “When the skin is properly hydrated, balanced, and calm, makeup sits more seamlessly and reflects light in a much more natural way,” Cheng tells FASHION. “It also helps everything last longer.”

Perhaps the only better complement to Chase Infiniti’s custom lilac Louis Vuitton gown than her diamond jewellery was her pastel-coloured eyeshadow. The wash of colour on her eyes was punctuated with light-catching shimmer on her inner corners.

This isn’t your standard cherry, ruby or brick red lip. Rose Byrne’s take on the red-carpet-worthy statement lip featured a warm, orange-tinged shade of rouge—striking against her embellished Dior gown.
