Although National Ice Cream Day is still a month away, the heat has started to kick up in the city and that means ice cream season has officially begun.
Luckily for us Torontonians, there are plenty of places to grab a frozen treat. From cotton candy confections at Sweet Jesus, to green tea soft serves imported from Japan à la Tsujiri, to the city’s hottest charcoal treat at iHalo Krunch, we’re pretty much spoiled for choice around here.
One new addition we’re particularly excited about is Nadège, which first began as a little pink patisserie, but has now taken the leap into ice cream, too. The dessert destination, with its array of bonbons and macarons, feels like a delicious scene straight out of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. We’re excited that they’re taking their famed treats and transforming them into their ice cream counterparts (say hello to the frozen version of their Pur Noir chocolate cake!). From baked caramel crunch to fresh mojito sorbet, this one-stop-shop for desserts is sure to be our go-to this summer.
Below, we’ve compiled a list of the best ice cream places in Toronto. Oh, did we mention they’re all Instagram-worthy? Yep, these cool treats will ensure a plethora of likes. We assure you.
