Quirky celebrity routines aren’t anything new. In Rebecca Harrington’s new book, I’ll Have What She’s Having: My Adventures in Celebrity Dieting, the author tries food fads of the rich and famous. Jackie Onassis, for instance, survived on one baked potato a day.

Much to the dismay of medical professionals, health-crazed celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow have made a name for themselves by offering food and wellness advice to readers, particularly about out-there diet trends that they claim to see results from. While Paltrow is the most vocal thanks to her website Goop, the younger generation, like Shailene Woodley and Blake Lively have hopped on board with sharing their offbeat practices (like Woodley’s longtime clay-eating habit).
