Yara Shahidi Channels the Peach Emoji at the Wrinkle in Time Premiere ?
Yara Shahidi, the breakout star of Grown-ish, stepped out at the Wrinkle in Time premiere looking pretty as a peach in a ruffled organza Chanel gown from the S/S 2018 collection.
The 18-year-old starlet attended the premier to support friend, Storm Reid, who stars as main character Meg Murray in the film, directed by Ava DuVernay and boasts A-list cast members such as Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and Oprah Winfrey.
Shahidi paired her juicy fruit dress with a pair of glitzy Christian Louboutin sandals and fine jewelry by Chanel: the Dimitri ring and the Coco Crush cuff made from 18K yellow gold and diamonds.
Shahidi’s red carpet style is proving to be both mature and spectacularly high fashion – we loved the ruffled checkerboard gown by Bibhu Mopatra she wore to the People’s Choice Awards in 2017 – so we can’t wait to see what look she’ll bring out to the next big red carpet event: the Oscars, this Sunday.
