Winnipeg: Sex and the District
One of my favorite areas of the city is the Exchange District. Cobblestone streets wrap around its old historic buildings and a park sits quietly in the middle of its busy intersections. And when the sun is setting, it paints everything a dusty pink. While the area isn’t known for its wild nightlife there is one night of the year when nothing closes, the streets fill with people and music and everything comes alive.
The party: Sex and the District. The date: Friday, September 19. The lineup: shopping, fine food and live entertainment until the wee hours of the morning.
The team at Vantage, a graphic and communication design studio located in the district, are responsible for this extravagant evening, which boasts exclusive pre-parties at area boutiques, plus DJs, art, fashion shows and three nightclubs featuring a shopping smorgasbord of clothing from Exchange District shops.
Put the words fashion and boutique in the same sentence and this girl has booked the night off. Now all I need is to find the perfect outfit.
