What will become of John Galliano’s boyfriend?
Alexis Roche, Galliano‘s partner of many years, has reportedly not been seen in the Dior offices for nearly two weeks — around the same time that Galliano was initially suspended from his post.
Roche, who serves as a “VIP style consultant” for Dior Couture, has apparently been too ill to appear at work at Dior HQ since the incident. As a source at the house of Dior told the Daily Mail, “He was instrumental in introducing and handling the A-list clients but, while everyone likes Alexis, people are saying it’s only a matter of time before he goes the way of John. Dior want to move on from what happened. It’s a very sensitive situation all round.”
As the subject of much blogosphere and Twitter frenzy, it has not yet been determined who will be taking over for Galliano at Dior, but the rumour mill appears to be in favour of Givenchy‘s Riccardo Tisci, as well as Lanvin‘s Alber Elbaz.
