We’ve got passes for the new Valentino doc!
Yesterday morning, the FASHION staff took in a screening of the upcoming doc, Valentino: The Last Emperor. It was as glorious and over-the-top as you’d expect a movie about Italian fashion to be: Couture! Temper tantrums! André Leon Talley! Oh, and Valentino holds hands with Karl Lagerfeld. More than fashion, the film also shows the relationship between Valentino and Giancarlo Giametti, his partner for over 50 years. (And don’t get us started on those pugs.)
The film opens July 10, but we’ve got 10 pairs of passes to give away for special screenings in Toronto (July 6) and Vancouver (July 7). Write in to [email protected] with your city and the answer to our skill-testing question–the first 5 correct entries from each city will win a pair of passes. The question: Director Matt Tyrnauer compared his film to another movie, referring to it as a “geriatric ______ ______” Dig around here for the answer.
