Twin-sets at the ready: Banana Republic reveals photos from the Mad Men capsule collection

There’s no denying that part of Mad Men–mania is due to the show’s killer fashion sense. We’ve all had moments wishing we could walk through the halls of Sterling Cooper (or should we say Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce) in getups like those donned by the pseudo-prim Betty, curvy sex symbol Joan and newbie secretary and Draper-to-be Megan. Banana Republic is one step closer to making those wishes come true by revealing its Mad Men capsule collection, created in collaboration with the show’s costume designer extraordinaire, Janie Bryant.

The line includes ’60s-ready shift dresses and suits, skinny cropped pants and a leopard-print cardi for the ladies, as well as dapper suiting and classic outerwear for men—you’ll look like you’ve stepped out of a perfectly in-touch time machine.

Originally set to launch alongside the show’s usual August premiere, the collection will now act as more of a teaser for the fifth season, which has since been pushed back to 2012 (oh, the horror!) But don’t get your knickers in a knot, you’ll be able to channel your favourite character starting August 11 in-store and online at bananarepublic.ca.
