Are you Library People?

Libraries are where many of us were first introduced to Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, while learning to read, research and share space with our communities. In honour of Canadian Library Month, which happens in October, the Toronto Public Library Foundation is giving residents a chance to voice their love for libraries with a limited edition I’m Library People merchandise campaign.

Profits raised from the purchase of t-shirts, notebooks and reusable totes will be donated to the Toronto Public Library Foundation. The foundation operates programs that are not funded by the municipality. For example, the home library service delivers books to house-bound seniors, youth hubs offer tutoring during the school year for immigrant students, and financial literacy programs teach people how to budget and invest their money.

T-shirts and totes can be purchased online and all other products are available at the Page & Panel, the shop at the Toronto Reference Library. For more on this heartwarming community initiative, look below.
