WWD is reporting that John Galliano has been fired from his namesake label, a month after he was ousted from his title at Christian Dior and days after he left the Meadows rehab facility in Arizona (and was heckled while leaving the country at LAX).
Though it wasn’t exactly what we would call swift, it was inevitable that Dior, which owns 91% of Galliano’s eponymous label, would have taken such action to maintain the value of the house which “has received unsolicited expressions of interest in the business from several of its Italian licensing partners, including sportswear maker Ittierre SpA and Perfume Holding” [WWD]
