The Fendi x Skims Video Campaign is Here

We're ready.

Eagerly awaiting the Fendi x Skims collab drop? Well, you’ll have to get in what is sure to be a very, very long line.

Mark you calendars because starting tomorrow, November 9, at precisely 9 a.m. EST, the capsule collection will be available at Fendi Boutiques across Canada. Fans got a first glimpse at the bold and colourful line in October, and now FASHION can offer another sneak peek with the first official Fendi x Skims campaign video.

See the Kim Kardashian West we know and love (read: admiring her high pony-tailed reflection and posing effortlessly for the camera) sporting a hot pink crop and with matching leggings alongside a group of models donning a selection of outfits from the line.

The collection draws upon sketches from an archival Fendi collection first presented by Karl Lagerfeld in 1979 (no wonder the video is giving us ‘80s photoshoot vibes!), featuring twisted tube tops, pop colours and tight sashes.

Under the direction of Kardashian West and Kim Jones, Fendi’s artistic director of couture and womenswear, the Fendi x Skims line is described as “ultra-feminine yet decidedly modern, featuring activewear, beachwear and elevated essentials in bold colours and neutral shades.”

The collection features a hybrid Fendi x Skims logo, seen on reversible skin-tight jersey, embossed into knitwear, printed across underwear and hosiery and writ large across recycled nylon sportswear. Accessories — from Peekaboo and Fendi First to the new Baguette Chain and Sunshine Shopper — appear in a complimentary palette: an array of brightly coloured Fendi icons appear alongside neutral tones. For footwear, the luxury house debuted a shearling hiking sandal and new iterations of the Fendi First heel.

“Kim Jones and I have been close friends for years,” Kim Kardashian West said in an October 26 press release. “I love his creative spirit and how he understands luxury in a way that makes total sense for how people want to dress. He works extremely hard, and as a workaholic myself, I recognize and admire the passion he puts into everything he does.”
