The sun may have been beaming down on the street style scene during London Fashion Week, but the temperamental weather didn’t fool fashion show attendees. Wrapping themselves up in the chicest of layers, street style stars outside the Spring 2014 shows continued to rock the fall coat trend from plaid to print to bold eye-catching colours. Even Mademoiselle C aka Carine Roitfeld, who was in town to launch the premiere of her documentary, was the epitome of Parisian chic as she strutted down the streets in an anything but ordinary charcoal-grey coat.

Though it looked chilly, many fashion week regulars were not afraid to bare their legs in dresses and skirts of various lengths. Boldest of them all (with a jacket in hand, just in case) was Miroslava Duma who bravely faced the wind in a crop top and a tartan midi skirt.

Leather jackets are a mainstay when it comes to looking chic (as well as helping to block the brisk wind). Whether paired with a graphic skirt, layered over black leather overalls, or donned on its own like British socialite Poppy Delevingne did in her timeless Burberry leather trench, this classic jacket was a favourite amongst the London Fashion Week crowd.

Our photographer, Stefania Yarhi, caught one well-dressed gentleman in a smart-looking three-piece blue suit with a stylish lady in hand, but it was a handful of women that turned to the men’s section for their street style inspiration who caught our attention. Christine Centenera dressed up her plaid Céline ensemble with an oversized tuxedo jacket. While one pretty blonde photographer layered a jacket over a men’s shirt, Elizabeth von Guttman rocked a grey jacket and matching trousers with the addition of the favourable crop top underneath. But it was Taylor Tomasi Hill in a grey plaid suit and Chanel country club-esque sweater that really took the cake as the most dapper of them all.
