Snuggie at Fashion Week, affordable Thom Browne and more

Who knew the Snuggie was considered fashion forward enough to have its very own moment in the sun at New York Fashion Week. Apparently, Snuggie is launching a whole slew of colours and styles of the blanket/outfit with the invite saying the “sexiest looks in blanket-wear and adult, kid and even canine models will hit the runway.” This is a joke, right? ’Cause we’re definitely laughing. An American Apparel ad that ran in Vice was pulled by the UK Advertising Standards Authority because it partially revealed the model’s nipple and resembled “child porn.” Even though the model is 23 and clearly not a child. [Gawker]

Rag & Bone is launching an affordable line of jeans and shirts, which will wholesale from US$70 to $80. Thom Browne is another designer getting budget-friendly with two new lower-priced collections—40 per cent cheaper than the main line. Both launches are set for spring 2010. [The Cut]

Model Daisy Lowe is designing a jewellery collection for Swarovski that includes a necklace, earrings, ring and bracelet. The release date is January, so look for Lowe’s dark skies (in jewellery form that is) as the focus is black and white, layered chains and a solar spectacle of stars and moons. [Grazia]
