Goodbye Carrie and Samantha, hello Blair and Serena! The pop culture fashionettes who are putting New York City on the shopping map these days are a whole new generation of style. So if you’re planning to head to the Grande Pomme for a shopping trip, do it like a Gossip Girl would. First things first, set up base camp at The New York Palace (455 Madison Ave., newyorkpalace.com). The posh midtown spot is practically a character in the show (Chuck Bass has a suite there, Serena lived there, Serena and Blair eat there) and many of the show’s scenes are shot in its various rooms. Speaking of rooms—the bathrooms alone are giant enough to store a week’s worth of conspicuous consumption, and the location—adjacent to Bergdorfs and within skipping distance (wear flats!) of several GG-friendly stores—makes it’s the dream spot for a retail rendezvous. Or ten.

Don’t know where to start? Here’s our handy Shop Like a Gossip Girl guide:

Chanel (15 E. 57th St., 212-255-5050)
Blake Lively, who plays Serena Van der Woodsen has admitted to being obsessed with Chanel, and really, who isn’t?

Bergdorf Goodman (754 5th Ave., 800-558-1855)
OMG, you can get Marc Jacobs here without having to venture downtown!

Saks Fifth Avenue (611 5th Ave., 212-753-4000)
Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) shopped here with Lily Van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) before all the drama queen fireworks at The Cotillion Ball.

Agent Provocateur (1000 3rd Ave., 212-705-2974)
Blair wore high-end lingerie from the Gangster collection to seduce Chuck Bass. Poor guy, he didn’t stand a chance.

Wolford (619 Madison Ave., 212-688-4850)
They always wear Wolford tights. Everybody knows that.

Dylan’s Candy Bar (1011 3rd Ave., 646-735-0078)
This haute sweet shop is where Vanessa bought Nate an anniversary gift of sour gummy worms. Aw….

Barneys New York (660 Madison Ave., 212-826-8900)
Want a piece of the fashion line that Blair’s mom “designs” on the show? It’s really all made by Lorick.

J Crew (347 Madison Ave., 212-949-0570)
One word: headbands. Blair and her coterie almost single-handedly brought this trend into the spotlight. J Crew puts the “prep” in prep school, don’tcha think?

Gossip Girl airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on A Channel.
