Rihanna looks insanely amazing, as always, at the Paris Fashion Week Fall 2014 shows
There are some definite perks to being one of the world’s biggest superstars. Private birthday party weekend in Aspen? Check. New Year’s Eve celebrations with your bestie Cara Delevingne? Check. But perhaps the biggest perk of all, is getting to sit front and centre at the major fashion shows, obviously wearing all the latest designs too. Rihanna is one lucky girl, and has been out in Paris all week long, showing her support for her designers pals at shows like Lanvin—‘sup Alber Elbaz?—and Balmain, oh hey Olivier Rousteing!—in show stopping outfits.
At Lanvin’s Fall 2014 show, she opted for a head-to-toe look by the fashion house mixing black tapered trousers with a slate grey fluted jacket with soft pleats at the waistline, topped off by a camel fedora. The pièce de résistance, however, was the eye-catching wraparound grey fur stole worn horizontally across the chest—we smell a new trend.
Next up was Balmain, where Rihanna wore an olive green ensemble from the brand’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection. With its plunging neckline and thigh-high slit the baring leather safari-inspired trench and matching parka were kicked up a notch with metallic pointy stilettos and a fierce lilac lip. As the face of Balmain’s Spring 2014 campaign it came at no surprise that the singer would make an appearance at the show and even less surprising that she wore designs by the brand. What was definitely more shocking however was what she chose to wear to the Balmain show after party at the legendary Crazy Horse cabaret.
Not satisfied with the amount of cleavage shown earlier at the show, Rihanna went for full shock-value donning a completely see-through—and we mean completely see-through—long sleeved mesh shirt, perhaps drawing inspiration from her Vogue cover? Leaving nothing up to the imagination on top, Rihanna kept it somewhat classy with a high-waisted leather skirt with a mock ruched bow and a bold red lip.
And on Friday morning, she continued her tour de force by hitting the Dior show, this time slightly more covered up in an outfit by the brand.
Rihanna wore a Dior silk black dress and red stretched mink coat. She also wore a Dior “Mise en Dior” necklace and bracelet with gold finish and cream resin pearls, Dior sunglasses and Dior leather gloves.
Donning a red stretched mink coat with cut-out shoulders and a full skirted silk LBD and garter stockings. She also wore a Dior “Mise en Dior” necklace and bracelet with gold finish and cream resin pearls, Dior sunglasses and Dior leather gloves. Is it just us, or do the accessories remind you of her out-of-this-world Chanel topped get-up at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show?
If we learned anything from obsessively following Rihanna’s latest fashion choices it is that the girl is fearless and is a fashion powerhouse in her own right. We’re almost as excited to see what she wears to the shows as we are the shows themselves!
