Your Courtside Style Just Got Better Thanks to Levi’s
Courtside style is an art form of sorts. Take a look at fave A-listers watching their fave basketball teams (ahem, Beyoncé) and you know that for many, looking good at the game is almost as important as the game itself — especially if you’re documenting on the ‘gram. And while the jersey has become a style staple both on and off the court, sometimes you just want to switch it up and wear something less obvious that still shows your team spirit (in a cool way, of course).
Inspired by contemporary streetwear, the pieces give fans more options to express their personal style while still pledging allegiance to their team. The collection first launched during the 2016 season and has now expanded to include Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs… but obviously we’re most excited about the Raptors.
“As the NBA continues to increase in popularity we are excited to expand on the success of our first NBA collection to offer options to more fans,” said James ’JC’ Curleigh, Levi’s brand president, in a press release. “We love the unmatched individuality of the NBA and its fans. We hope to deliver even more fan options for self-expression and team spirit with the addition of new teams and Levi’s options.”
Of course, the pieces in the collection still stay true to Levi’s fan-fave silhouettes, with the Trucker Jacket, the plaid western coat and the Club Coat making an appearance (all adorned with team branding, natch). There are styles available for men and women (though many are unisex) and pieces range from $118-$158.
The Toronto Raptors collection drops Monday, November 27th in Canada and will be available at select Levi’s stores and Hudson’s Bay. Pieces from the additional teams will also be available at TheBay.com.
