Judging by the fashionable new stamps that the U.S. Postal Service will be debuting next month, we might just see a resurgence of handwritten notes and snail mail.

On February 16 (fittingly, the last day of New York fashion week) the late Oscar de la Renta will be honoured with a series of stamps for 2017. The 11-pane set of Commemorative Forever Stamps includes a black-and-white portrait of the iconic American designer (de la Renta passed away in 2014 at age 82) by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and 10 detail shots from some of his famous designs.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Oscar de la Renta was known for his elegant ready-to-wear dresses and ladies-who-lunch skirt suits. He was also the unofficial king of Aisle Style, dreaming up fairytale-worthy wedding gowns, like the one Amal Clooney wore when she married George Clooney in 2014. From Hollywood celebs (Sarah Jessica Parker) to It-girls (Karlie Kloss) to First Ladies (Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, Nancy Reagan), the list of lovelies that de la Renta dressed is endless.

The Forever Stamp First-Day-of-Issue dedication ceremony, co-hosted by the fashion house and the U.S. Postal Service, is open to the public and will take place at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal in New York. The event will feature speakers including Hillary Clinton and Vogue’s Anna Wintour. If you don’t collect stamps, now’s the time to start.
