Olivia Palermo Lends her Signature Style to Banana Republic
“I think it’s important to try what catches your eye.”
Former reality-TV star Olivia Palermo has segued her sophisticated style into a successful career as a model, muse and designer. Her latest venture with Banana Republic, says Palermo, was a true collaboration. “Keeping the tone of Banana while bringing my own aesthetic to it was really important,” she says. By changing lengths and adding details to well-loved Banana Republic basics, she was able to make the pieces her own.

The 57-piece collection includes a pleat-sleeved top in marigold, cropped leather pants in olive (a Palermo signature) and a tiered velvet shirtdress in burgundy. “When I get dressed, I like to incorporate colour,” says Palermo. Naturally, the red military trench coat with gold details is a favourite: “A great overcoat gives you a boost of confidence.”
Palermo, who also styled the collection, added sharp accessories like scarves to put “on your wrist or bag.”
There are so many pieces to choose from, but Palermo’s advice is simple: “I think it’s important to try what catches your eye.” We couldn’t agree more.
