In honour of her brand’s 25th anniversary, Donna Karan’s Fall 2010 collection stays close to her roots--black, black and more black. Karan’s noir homage plays out on the runway by way of spiral-cut layers, embroidered skirts and dresses, textured organza, sculpted evening dresses, laser-cut shearling coats, tweed dresses, crepe legging pants, and the piece that started it all 25 years ago: the jersey bodysuit.  The collection was powerful, inspiring and dramatic. It was a story of texture and compelling from beginning to end.
