MTV VMAs 2016: 23 of the best-dressed celebs on the red carpet

The MTV Video Music Awards is an event worth the hype. Seriously. The glitz and glamour of other award shows doesn’t even compare to this notoriously #OTT music event. And when you discover Britney Spears is performing, there’s no doubt this is going to be three hours of couch time well spent. It’s an event that stands out year after year from a fashion standpoint, and tonight’s celebs clearly did not disappoint.

Braving a potential wardrobe malfunction, we spied copious amounts of skin (sans bras) peeking from beneath jackets. There were also sheer jumpsuits (Hailey Baldwin and Halsey) and many a look exhibiting toned-tummies (Stella Maxwell). Beyoncé set the best-dressed bar high, and clearly needs to be handed an award for Best Mom ever, walking the red carpet with her equally stylish her mini-me Blue Ivy Carter. And Nicki Minaj surprised us with a rather conservative midnight blue number, while Ariana Grande proved she’s still a style star in an Alexander Wang off-the-shoulder crop top and high-waisted pants.
