Despite being a Canadian fashion veteran, Montreal designer Simon Chang (800-465-9203, simonchang.com) only began opening his own boutiques within the past couple of years. Locals can now head uptown to Centre Rockland (2305 Rockland Rd., 514-342-2872, centrerockland.com) to check out his ruffled and embellished pieces.

Owned by the same man behind Boutique Europa and Prfkt in Montreal’s World Trade Centre, Vault Par Europa (701 St-Pierre St., 514-849-2424) has unlocked its doors in the Quartier International. Shoppers can invest in high-end accessories by the likes of Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford, Gucci and Marc Jacobs.

Deeper into the Old City, Cahier d’exercices (369 St-Paul St. W., 514-439-5169, cahierdexercices.com) is good news for those who mourned the closing of footwear emporium Mona Moore. Get your Dries Van Noten and Ann Demeulemeester shoe fix here, as well as clothing from international labels such as Limi Feu, Celine and Tess Giberson.
