We met Kirsten from Ford Models earlier this year when she appeared in our On the Market: Feminine details video. If you’ve had your eyes open you may have spotted her in editorials for Ion magazine or for the online publication Fantasticsmag. We chatted with the up-and-coming face about exotic locales, Adam Lambert and getting the boot from Value Village.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve had to do for a shoot? Last summer I shot for Ion magazine with Norman Wong. We shot the entire story with disposable cameras, changing location from the studio, to Kensington, Union Station and the Beach. He told me and the two other models to go crazy and do whatever we wanted, which resulted in  us getting kicked out of Value Village, hopping fences, and earned us some dirty looks from protestors on the street.  It was definitely the most fun and adventurous shoot I’ve done!

What’s your dream modelling job? I would love to do a shoot somewhere exotic like Brazil! I love the opportunity to travel that comes with modeling, and I’m excited to see where it takes me. There are so many places I’d like to see and visit, so booking a big job in a warm place (especially during our cold winter here) would be a dream come true!

Do you have a favourite spring trend? Boyfriend shorts are great for spring, and they look great layered over leggings when it’s still a bit chilly out. I’m also a big fan of printed scarves, they dress up a simple tank and jeans. I look for pieces that are easy to wear and are comfortable, but make a statement.

What’s the last concert you attended? My friends and I went to Hamilton in the summer to see the American Idol Top 10 concert…but only because we wanted to meet Adam Lambert!

What beauty product can you not live without? I love Kiehl’s tinted facial moisturizer! It’s just enough pigment to cover any redness, but it’s not heavy and it won’t irritate sensitive skin because it’s made from natural products. Plus, it has SPF protection.
