We’ve always known that Meghan Markle knows how to put an outfit together but this latest trip to London has proved her keen sartorial eye. This evening in London, Meghan accompanied Prince Harry to the Mountbatten Festival of Music (one of their final appearances as senior royals), donning a stunning red dress for the occasion.
Meghan continued her support of British labels, opting for a striking red gown from Safiyaa. The floor length piece featured a cape detailing that extended down the back of the gown with dramatic effect. Leaving her hair straight and centre-parted, Meghan accessorized the look with red earrings and a jewelled clutch from Manolo Blahnik.
It is not the first time Meghan has been spotted in Safiyaa, having previously made headlines during the royal tour of Tonga after wearing a stunning blue gown from the label to a state dinner.
She coordinated perfectly with Harry who wore his Captain-General of the Royal Marines uniform. This is particularly poignant, given that it will likely be the last time we see the Duke in this ensemble because as part of the agreement to step down from their roles as royals from March 31, Harry agreed to give up his military positions.
The pair has a busy 48 hours ahead with Meghan expected to attend an International Women’s Day celebration tomorrow before the pair join the Queen and other members of the royal family at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday. There’s no doubt two more spectacular outfits on the way – watch this space.
