Effervescent royal fiancée Meghan Markle made her second official appearance with Prince Harry today at a Brixton underground radio station…and appeared to be wearing flared pants. The jaunty royal couple traveled to the Brixton neighbourhood of south London to visit Reprezent 107.3, a 24-hour underground radio station run by volunteers who are all under the age of 25. Markle and the Prince met Gloria Beyi, one of the station’s 17-year-old hosts and reportedly listened to deep house track ‘Flirt’ by London artist Poté.
For the visit, Markle wore Birks earrings, a basic black Marks & Spencer sweater topped with a cozy-looking coat by Canadian label Smythe, which is also a favourite of Markle’s sister-in-law to be, Kate Middleton, but it was her ballooning wide-leg Burberry trousers that stole the show. While the upper half of the pants is not quite visible, the bottom half of her pants flapped in the wind as Markle stood outside in frigid temperatures to meet the swelling crowd that had gathered around the radio station to catch a glimpse of the stunning royals.
Could Markle’s outfit signify the return of flare pants? With 122 days left until the royal wedding, we suspect this won’t be the only trend that Meghan Markle singlehandedly resurrects.
