The Bay’s full-tilt foray into high fashion continues apace. This Thursday and Friday, the Toronto Queen Street store is hosting a two-day extravaganza of British fashion, dubbed God Save the Queen. The Room will be transformed with installations and the opening night soiree will let the guest list-only crowd mingle with the cool kids of London fashion--Mark Fast, Marios Schwab, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, Charlotte Olympia Dellal, Nicholas Kirkwood and Giles Deacon, who will be demonstrating his DJ prowess.

Friday, October 15 there is a handful of trunk shows--shoe designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal will show her super-hot Charlotte Olympia line at 11:00 a.m., Giles Deacon will present his offerings at 1:00, Erdem is up at 2:00, Nicholas Kirkwood is next at 3:00 and Jonathan Saunders is at 4:00--at The Room, as well as a panel discussion on “The Next Wave of British Fashion” at noon. Both are open to the public, as is a month-long pop-up shop from London fashion mag, Lula, which was founded by Canadian Leith Clark. (Yes, that makes three Canadian imports on the event’s roster). The pop-up will have limited-edition items from a select group of designers, chosen by Clark--a Jason Wu skirt, an Erdem dress and Miu Miu shoes are part of the offerings.

As a lead-up to the God Save the Queen event, the Bay sent out a pretty lavish media kit. Click the images below to see a gallery of designer pics.
