Marc Jacobs’s Wedding Was the Social Calendar Event of the Season
Every big cheese you can imagine showed up...
On Saturday, designer Marc Jacobs wed candlemaker Charly “Char” Defrancesco, twenty years junior, in a small, intimate ceremony in New York City. The reception, however, was anything but. Just about everyone with ties to the fashion industry could be place at posh restaurants The Grill and The Pool in Manhattan, where the receptions took place. The evening was filled with a screening of the couple’s home videos, a five-tier cake, and Dean and Dan Caten voguing. Wedding favours included a vape pen as well as white hoodies embroidered with otters -- a species known to mate for life --that read “don’t float away.”
Star attendees included legendary models like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace Moss hack, actors like Chloe Sevigny and Christina Ricci, musicians like Debbie Harry and even the reclusive designer Phoebe Philo made an appearance.
