Liz Goldwyn, author, burlesque enthusiast and Hollywood scion (her grandfather happens to be Samuel Goldwyn of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer), is letting go of over 300 vintage items from her clothing archive, and frankly we’re salivating over every piece.

Goldwyn began collecting clothes as a teenager and the first vintage piece she ever purchased -- a cream-coloured Courreges satin skirt for less than $20 -- is going up for sale. “By collecting clothes, I feel like I collect stories, and as a writer I love to dream up the lives of other people who wore them before me,” she said in an interview with Vestiaire Collective, where the pieces are up for sale. “Clothes are very personal, but I am letting go of these pieces because I want to share with others a little bit of the joy that I had from them.” Proceeds of the sale will go to the Dress for Success charity.

With over 20 years worth of vintage collecting under her belt, Goldwyn has unearthed some serious gems, like a dress from Nicolas Ghesquiere‘s tenure at Balenciaga and a sweater from David Bowie‘s former costume designer Kansai Yamamoto. so head on over to Vestiaire Collective to pick up a piece of Hollywood -- and fashion --  history.
